As per the Annual Training Plan (ATP) for the year 2021-22, ICAR- DWR, Jabalpur organized a three-days training programme on “MS Office/Basic Computer Literacy for Skilled Supporting Staff” during 28th to 30th March, 2022. All Skilled Supporting staff (21) of ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur, participated in this training programme. Sitting arrangements for the participants were made in the conference hall and committee room of the Directorate, with proper physical distancing in view of the present COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. J. S. Mishra, Director, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur, inaugurated the training programme and addressed the trainees on the importance of having basic computer knowledge. He also emphasized on the importance of having computer knowledge for filling the information in ERP and SPARROW. On this occasion, Dr. J. S. Mishra wished that all the participants will take active interest in all the lectures delivered during the training programme.
The first lecture of the training programme was delivered by Mr. Sandeep Dhagat, Sr. Technical Officer, on the topic ‘Basic Computer Knowledge’. He gave the information about how computers work & how to use them, typing, keyboard commands, powering a computer on and off, how to connect, how to create and use mail ID and how to connect the internet to a computer. He also highlighted the use of different application softwares. The next lecture on the topic “ICAR ERP and E-office” was delivered by Mr. M. K. Meena, Technical officer, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur. During this session he highlighted about the use of ICAR-ERP and its application for employee information, HR policies, leave management, performance and appraisal system. He also taught the basic information about salary, GPF, pension payment, retirement benefit calculation in ICAR-ERP. He also briefed about the ICAR E-office. The last session of the training programme was held in the second half on 30th March, 2022. During this session Dr. Yogita Gharde, Sr. Scientist, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur, delivered a lecture on the topic ‘MS Word Lecture and Practical’. During her lecture, she gave information about how to create and save word document, correct error, word count, font size, font style, apply a style, customize a style, page size, page margin, insert header & footer, formatting text, etc.
The valedictory programme was conducted wherein feedback from all the participants was taken and participants shared their views about the training programme. The topics were appreciated by the skilled supporting staff participants of ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur and the programme was described as a much needed one. At the end of the valedictory function, participants were awarded with a certificate for attending this three-days training programme. The training program director and Director, ICAR-DWR, Dr. J. S. Mishra oversaw the smooth conduct of the event, while Dr. Pawar Deepak Vishwanath and Dr. Dasari Sreekanth, coordinated the training programme. Sh. Sandeep Dhagat, Sr. Technical Officer, Sh. R. Hadge, Asst. Administrative Officer, and Mrs. Iti Rathi, Technical Officer helped in smooth conduct of the training programme. Dr. Dasari Sreekanth, Convenor of the training program proposed the vote of thanks.
