ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur released Automation System for AICRP on Weed Management during XXX Annual Review Meeting of AICRP on Weed Management at SKUAST, Jammu on 27 May 2023. Purpose of this system is to acquire data from all cooperating centers for further analysis and report generation.

This was developed by ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi team led by Dr. Rajender Prasad, Director, ICAR-IASRI. A brief description of the Automation System was given by Dr. Sukant Dash, Scientist, ICAR-IASRI. Scientists from all Cooperating centers attended the programme and interacted with the IASRI scientists and cleared their doubt.

Dr. J.S. Mishra, Director, ICAR-DWR appreciated the efforts made by IASRI team and informed the house that this will be an asset for the AICRP on WM and will act as data repository at Head quarter with the cooperation from all centers. Dr. R.P. Dubey I/c AICRP-WM proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Yogita Gharde, Sr. Scientist suggested the ways to improve the system keeping in view the need of cooperating centers and Head quarter.
