The 22nd RAC meeting of the ICAR-Directorate of Weed research Jabalpur was held on virtual platform during 14-15 June 2021 under the Chairmanship of Dr. N.T. Yaduraju. Following RAC members were present: Dr. S. Bhaskar, Dr. T. V. Ramachandra Prasad, Dr. Ajit Kumar, Dr. A. Ramesh, Dr. P. Samal , Dr. S. K. Jalali. At the outset, Dr. J.S. Mishra, Director, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur, extended a warm welcome to RAC committee. He informed the house about various activities and major initiatives undertaken by the Directorate during the period. On invitation of Chairman, Dr. Ajit Kumar, vice-President, UPL India Ltd and Member of RAC spoke on herbicides importance in the light of ban imposed by The Govt. India on some important herbicides.

Dr. Sushil kumar, Member-Secretary presented the action taken report (ATR) on the recommendations made during the XXI RAC meeting held on 25-26 February, 2020. RAC expressed satisfaction over the ATR presented by the Member-Secretary and opined that most of the points in the recommendations made in the last meetings have been addressed satisfactorily despite having 50% less scientific manpower than the sanctioned and adverse conditions during last one year due to COVID-19 pandemic. All the scientists presented their research achievements of the year 2020-21 in a comprehensive manner and also presented new project proposals. Chairman and members gave their input to improve the experiments.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks by the member secretary RAC.
