Parthenium awareness programme was organized on 17 August, 2017 to make aware the students and teachers of Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur at Human Resources Conference Hall of RDVV, Jabalpur under the chairmanship of Professor Kapil Deo Mishra, Vice Chancellor, RDVV. Dr. P.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-DWR graced the occasion as Chief Guest. A large number of NSS students along with Deans, Directors and Registrar participated in the progrmme.

Participants were educated about the ill effect of Parthenium and the ways of its management through power point presentations made by Dr. Sushil Kumar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur . Dr. Kapil Deo Mishra shared his experience about the weed and wished that this weed should be eradicated from the university campus. He appealed all the students to remove the weeds from the campus within two month period.
