The ‘Samagra Swachhta Diwas’ was celebrated on 24.09.2017 at Shashkiya Prathmik Pathshala, Padariya (Panagar), Jabalpur by all the employees of ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur. Dr. P.K Singh, Director lead the Shramdaan work followed by contribution in the renovation (जीर्णोद्धार) of eight non-functional Toilets/urinals of above mentioned school located in remote/backward rural area.
The school is located around 20 km away from the main city of Jabalpur. All the said toilets/urinals were already built long time ago by NGOs, but were not in use due to non-functioning of the same. Therefore, the repair work (renovation/ repairing/ welding /painting/mason/ whitewash etc.) of the toilets/urinals were done by ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur in the presence of Sh. Indra Kumar Mishra Head Master of the School, Sh. Pankaj Katariya (Teacher) and Smt. Hemlata Sajamvar (Teacher), the Sarpanch of Padria Sh. Lakhan Patel appreciated the noble cause done by the staff members of ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur.
Cleaning/sweeping work from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM were done in school premises/campus & nearby areas by all the employees of the ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur. Photographs of the “Samagra Swachhta Diwas” celebration are placed herewith:
