The Quarterly Review Meeting of AICRP on Weed Management for the quarter of October to December 2024 was held online from 23rd to 24th January 2025. The meeting reviewed the quarterly progress of 17 regular and 07 volunteer centres of AICRP on Weed Management. The volunteer center at BAU, Sabour did not participate in the QRM. Dr. JS Mishra, Director, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur chaired the two days meeting. The QRM was coordinated by Dr. RP Dubey, Principal Scientist and Project In-charge, AICRP-WM. Principal investigators of the coordinating centres presented their salient research findings, research and other publications, trainings organized, OFR and FLDs conducted during the quarter and other relevant issues.

The Director expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work done as per the approved technical programme during the quarter at all the centres. He asked all the centres to complete the publication of the State Weed Atlas by March 2025. The centers should complete the compilation of the weed management technologies by February 2025. The budget utilization by the centres was also reviewed. It was emphasized that the centres must utilize the funds released to them so that no unspent amount is carried forward to the next financial year, no revalidation of funds will be done. The centres should timely provide the required information to the PC unit. The trainees and other beneficiaries should be categorized into male and female while reporting to the PC unit. The centres were asked to convey their willingness to organize the next Annual Review Meeting.

Associated scientists from ICAR DWR, Jabalpur also interacted in the meeting. A total of 41 participants attended the meeting. Dr. PK Mukherjee, Principal Scientist, proposed the vote of thanks.
