The Directorate celebrated 27th Foundation Day on 22nd April 2015 in the presence of Dr. V.S. Tomar, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and Dr. R.K. Gupta, Senior Consultant, BISA, Jabalpur. Dr. A.R. Sharma, in his welcome address, briefed the dignitaries about research and development activities at the Directorate. Chief Guest of the function Dr. V.S. Tomar emphasized the indispensable need of continuous research on weed science for the farmer community.
On this occasion, ‘Best Worker Awards (2014-15)’ in the category of skilled supporting staff, administrative staff, technical officers and scientists were conferred upon Shri Madan Sharma, Shri Manoj Gupta, Shri Mukesh Meena and Dr. Shobha Sondhia respectively by certificate and memento.
