The National Science Day was celebrated on 29 February, 2016. To mark the occasion, science quiz and science speech competitions were organized. A large number of staff from all categories overwhelmingly and enthusiastically came forward to test their scientific temper and understanding.

Mr. Shrinivas Dwivedi, Executive Engineer and Regional officer, MP Pollution Control Board, Jabalpur presided over the function. Dr. D.K. Pandey, PS and programme co-coordinator addressed the house on importance of science day and its contribution in the development of Nation. Incharge Director, Dr. P. K. Singh, detailed importance of science in our daily lives and nation building. Chief Guest, Mr. S. Dwivedi delivered an interesting and informative lecture on ‘General information on environmental laws'

At the end, prizes and certificates were distributed to winners of different events. Dr. D. K. Pandey, Principal Scientist, Dr. Meenal Rathore, Sr. Scientist, Mr. V. C. Tyagi, Scientist and Mr. G. R. Dongre, Technical Officer coordinated and organized the programme. Programme convener, Mr. G. R. Dongre thanked all the participants for their interest, enthusiasm and involvement in the programme.
