The XIX RAC meeting of the Directorate was held on 17-18 March, 2016 at ICAR - DWR, Jabalpur. Dr. D. M. Hegde, Chairman; Dr. Gita Kulshrestha, Member; Dr Dr. S. Bhaskar, Member; Dr. A.R. Sharma, Member; Dr. Bhumesh Kumar, Member, Secretary and scientists of directorate were present in the RAC meeting.

At the outset, Dr. A.R. Sharma extended a warm welcome to Chairman, Dr. D.M. Hegde and other members of RAC. Dr. Sharma made a brief presentation on salient achievements of the Directorate and major initiatives undertaken during 2015-16. Dr. Bhumesh Kumar, Member Secretary, RAC presented the action taken report (ATR) on the recommendations made in the XVIII RAC meeting held on 7-8 March 2015.

RAC expressed satisfaction over the ATR presented by the member secretary and opined that most of the points in the recommendations made in the last meetings have been well taken care of. Afterwards, programme-wise presentations of salient research findings of 2015 and future programmes of 2016 were made by the programme leaders and the concerned scientists. On the morning of 18 March, 2016 the members of the RAC visited the research farm and on-going experiments. RAC appreciated the ongoing experiments and congratulated the whole DWR team for the developing and maintaining the experimental farm as a model.
