Third training programme on “Agriculture Biotechnology – Microbes and their biotechnological interventions for sustainable agriculture with special reference to biological weed management” is being organized for PG students at ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur from 6-20 September, 2016. Welcoming the participants and guests, Dr. Bhumesh Kumar, Senior Scientist and Course Director briefed about the content of the training programme. Dr. A.R. Sharma, Director, ICAR-DWR chaired the inaugural function. In his inaugural speech, he focused on the purpose and relevance of the training programme for the PG students.
The 15 days training programme is sponsored by the Madhya Pradesh Biotechnology Council, Bhopal. Total 25 students from the different universities/colleges around Jabalpur and Chitrakoot are participating in this training programme. The training programme will include lectures and hands on training by the resource persons, scientists of the Directorate and also from other Universities/colleges and research institutes.
Mr. V.C. Tyagi and Mr. Chethan C.R. are coordinators for this training programme. Dr.Yogita Gharde conducted the programme and Mr. V.C. Tyagi gave the vote of thanks.
